Social Media Minute Podcast: Preventing Social Media Gotchas

Ranging from a bad link or misspelled word to losing your temper and showing it on a social post – gotchas can cause embarrassment and more.

We talk about some fundamental tactics that can help you minimize errors.

1.  Use an editorial calendar and outline your ideas in advance – just take a few minutes each day to think them through. You stay consistent with your editorial planning and also reduce posts without some basic consideration first.

2.  Use an extra set of eyes on content. Have someone spend just a few minutes prior to them being sent – can eliminate misspellings, bad links and more.

3.  Avoid the taboos – if your business, customers and those who consume your content are negatively impacted by controversial subjects – don’t bring those topics to them.
